I had an amazing opportunity to create a PSA for Veruna to explain their incredible mission: turning ocean water into drinkable water.
THE BRIEF
Veruna is a non-profit organization that tries to find ways of using technology to solve the world’s clean water crisis.
They're working on a 2-part system called the Veruna Water System which uses new desalination technology in conjunction with existing purification techniques to enable villages and towns across the globe to take non-potable water and convert it into clean drinking water.
The goal of the explainer was to bring the sponsor's attention to the company and to help Veruna gain the funding for their mission.
SCRIPT
Client provided the Voice Over script and I searched for the best visuals to support the message.
MOODBOARD
In order to find the best visual language I offered 3 style directions for the video.
SKETCHES
Every projects starts with the pen and paper.
ANIMATIC
The best way to get an idea of how your video is going to look like - is to make an animatic, where you will see the timing, basic camera movement and how it's all working with the VO.
STYLEFRAMES
Time to add some colors. At this stage I'm presenting to client the visual style of our project.
ANIMATION
Move it! To bring the Veruna video to life I used the combination of cell animation and cutout animation in After Effects.
SOUND EFFECTS AND MIX
Almost there! After a pile of tracks edited and thousands of splashes listened - the video gained it's sound.
It's all done! From script final render - PSA for Veruna came to live!
THANK YOU!
